SPEAR Factoids about Jacob the Cut-Up — ܝܥܩܘܒ ܡܦܣܩܐ
Jacob "the cut-up" was a noble
Persian from the Royal City of Beth Lapaṭ. He
became a Christian, but he later abjured his Christian identity. His
family reproached him, so he confessed his faith before Bahram V and was
martyred.
In 420/1 A. Gr. 732 Jacob the Mutilated suffered
martyrdom. See
