SPEAR Factoids about Justin II - ܝܘܣܛܝܢܐ

Roman Emperor, successor of Justinian and his sister's son3
Justin II was Roman emperor from 565 to 578. His mental illness increasingly affected his ability to rule and necessitated the installation of Tiberius as Caesar in late 574. Joh. Eph., EH 1-3, remembers Justin as a persecutor of the miaphysites in the early 570s and interprets his illness as divine punishment for his deeds.7
